After browsing 'round various Pulpy resources, I came across THIS bit of news: Jarvis is getting a hosting gig for BBC Radio?? www.google.com/hostednews/ukpress/article/ALeqM5iLbfCUuIWThi2jHiyoCI1bviViSAI find this to be quite interesting...*nod* (NOTE: I hope I haven't over-stepped my bounds by starting a Jarv thread. I figured that since there wasn't one already and that this was worthy of passing along, I'd go on ahead meself... )

Jarvis is coming to Sydney in December. Just found out the other day that his show is now sold out and I don't have a ticket.

It must be nice living in an area where musicians you WANT to see actually step into the scene. Jarv's North American tours, specifically in the states, usually are as varied as NYC or the east coast, Chicago & LA or the west coast. There are about 40-some other states....*EYEROLLEYROLL*

An hour on the train isn't so much, really.

No, an hour on the train is gravy. The closest cities near me that I can and have seen good shows are 2 and 2 1/2 hour drives away, respectively...all three in different directions, pretty much. A lot of people do actually stop in those cities, but it's just a rare/random chance that they're someone really groovy--even more rare if I get the chance to go. (I know The Jarvs would never set foot in central or southern Ohio...or, hell, anywhere in the 'midwest' other than Chicago. Lame.)
